Everything your skin needs to recover
Dry lips, rough patches, chapped cheeks or irritated hands? The Rescue balm is there for everything that needs extra care. This 100% natural balm restores the skin barrier, reduces moisture loss and helps your skin recover in no time.
The combination of cacay oil, lanolin, aloe vera, calendula and blueberry seed oil ensures that even the most sensitive skin feels supple and comfortable again.
- Cacay oil contains natural vitamin A, vitamin E and essential fatty acids that help restore your skin barrier.
- Lanolin forms a protective layer on your skin that retains moisture and prevents dehydration.
- Aloe vera and calendula are known for their calming and anti-inflammatory properties. They reduce redness and support the healing of small wounds or irritations.
- And blueberry seed oil is rich in antioxidants that help protect the skin against external influences such as cold, wind and sun.
The balm melts on contact with your skin and forms a thin layer that retains moisture and immediately protects the skin. Ideal for lips, hands, elbows, baby cheeks or scrapes. Anywhere your skin could use some extra care. A true all-rounder that helps restore, soften and protect, exactly where and when your skin needs it.
Good for your skin, good for the sheep
Lanolin (wool fat) is somewhat similar to the natural oils your skin produces itself. As a result, it helps your skin barrier recover when your skin really needs an "SOS". Because lanolin forms a soft protective layer over your skin, your skin retains moisture better and dry, rough patches can quickly become supple and calm again.
But perhaps you have heard that lanolin is not so animal-friendly, or specifically about mulesing in sheep. Mulesing is a method mainly used in Australia to protect sheep from myiasis, a disease that occurs mainly in warm, humid climates where certain parasites feel very much at home. In that region, mulesing is a way to protect the sheep from this. We will spare you the details, but it is certainly not animal-friendly. However, fortunately, it is not necessary everywhere in the world.
At Loveli, we consider animal welfare to be extremely important. That is why our lanolin does not come from Australia, but from an ecological, RWS-certified sheep farm in Patagonia. The climate there is much cooler and drier. The sheep live with plenty of space, peace and fresh air around them. Due to these natural conditions, they are hardly bothered by parasites and do not need to be treated with pesticides or practices such as mulesing.
Everything is fully traceable: from the origin of the wool to the moment the lanolin ends up in our products. We also realize that we are not there ourselves, but we rely on this institute that carries out regular checks. And you don't get such a certification just like that. Less than 5% of all sheep farms have this certificate, so there is still a long way to go. But know that you can use our Rescue balm with peace of mind. These sheep are well cared for.
