This nourishing balm lip balm is developed with a coconut oil base and enriched with a blend of botanical oils, butters, and waxes that help protect your lips from drying out. Coconut oil has a moisturizing effect on your lips. It combines the hydrating properties of coconut oil with the nourishing properties of shea butter and beeswax. The lip balm is vegan, so no beeswax is used. Candelilla wax is slightly harder than beeswax but softer and can be perfectly used as a plant-based (vegan) alternative to beeswax. Another odorless wax is Oryza Sativa Cera. This is obtained from rice bran. It acts as a skin softener, especially for dry lips.
The lip balm also contains SPF 25, which protects the lips against UVA and UVB rays. The lip balm nourishes, moisturizes, and softens the lips. Did you know that some lip balms contain additives such as synthetic dyes made from coal tar, paraffin for moisture retention, and artificial wax? Studies show that some of these substances contain heavy metal salts, which are harmful to health and can even be carcinogenic.
